Blue Blaze

My family has a term we referring to as "Blue Blazing" when we take a random scenic tour away from the direct route of A to B. Blue Blazing is a commitment to live life in the slow lane from time to time. To focus on quality instead of quantity in life.

The "Blue Blaze" term originates from backpacking and is the name of the scenic way around or bypass on the Appellation Trail from Maine to Georgia on the East Coast. Growing up it was taking the long way around just because, seeing what's out there and around the corner. Being impulsive and experiencing the beauty and wonder that we waltz right by without the slightest acknowledgment our entire lives. Blue Blazing is the reason I exist, the reason my parents met, the reason they chose quality over quantity in life.
